A SMPD helps students identify and develop the call of God on their lives, each one discovering and preparing to fulfill their destiny.
The purpose of the SMPD is to create an environment for growth in both personal discipleship and ministry, and to develop lifestyle foundations through study and application of Biblical principles. We want to help people grow in their relationship with Jesus, to develop a consistent lifestyle of growth leading to maturity, and to rise up with confidence in God and His purposes for them.
Our aim is to see believers equipped with the tools that enable them to be effective in every area of life, whether they are called to the secular work place, missions, local church ministry or para-church ministry.

YWAM is a unique contribution to world mission. YWAM has been highly effective in attracting mission entrepreneurs, especially among young people, and mobilizing them for a wide range of important mission work. Sprawling, sometimes messy and very nimble, YWAM's entrepreneurial spirit is the envy of the larger, more structured missions. YWAM's dependence on the movement of the Spirit of God in directing its work is a witness to all of us.
